This model is used when off peak power tariff 33 is used

Onga Pentair SMQT models mean they have a quartz clock in the power pack. Very easy to set and you are able to do 15 different time settings for the week!  Or just do it for a set 8 hours every day.  Other brands have quartz clocks that have a non removable back up battery inside.  The Pentair quartz clocks have a removable $5 battery.  Great Idea! This clock keeps ticking when the off peak power is turned off at peak energy times.  These times are usually around 8-9am and at 5-8pm daily.  When coupled with an Eco 800 energy saving pool pump, your electricity bill will be around 5-10cents per hour.   The full flow cell is easy to remove when cleaning is needed.  Make the investment today!

Model – Standard

The standard chlorinator means it has an old style clock with segments that are movable to set the time.  Very reliable.

These salt water chlorinators are designed and made in Australia.

The cell design is a full water flow unit.  No air pockets should develop in the clear cell housing.  Air pockets in other brands will turn off the power to the cell. The sensor  (usually smaller wire) terminal will always need to be wet when running.  The Onga Pentair Pantera models have a staight section cell that allows water to flow evenly.  It can be installed vertically or horizontaly. I prefer vertically.

Every 12 hours the power to the cell reverses and removes the fine scale built up on the anode of the cell.

Switch Mode design:

This technology we believe is now proven to be reliable and can save you electricity costs. Older style units with transformer in the circuitry use 60 -80% more electricity than the switch mode Pantera models.

This chlornator has easy to use features.  Chlorine output is controlled by a dial mounted below the easy to read chlorine out put meter.  When high chlorine is needed, turn the dial up in the green area.  If the needle goes into the red area of the meter, then your salt level is too high! ( dilute the pool water now!)

Timing is simple to use.  Just push out the segments to arrange the times you want to utilise.  A red switch beside the clock shows auto or manual settings.  Set the switch to auto and you are away!  At pool party time, just switch to manual and the pump will keep running with the chlorinator giving extra sanitisation to the water,
